I purchased the book The Traveler by Daren Simkin, some time ago, while looking for some books for my kids. In the story, a guy named Charlie was afraid of losing his time so he packed it away to try and save it. He didn’t realize that by trying to save his time, time continued to move forward.
There are many ways we are like Charlie. We waste our time; we hoard our time; we even think that we have all the time in the world. We tell ourselves that we can do it later and later never comes. We give up on our dreams because we don’t have the time and regret not doing something knowing that time has passed us by.
I learned a lesson from Charlie. I learned that we must understand that now is the only time that we have. If we put off what can be done today and save it for tomorrow, it may never get done. Since now is all we have, we need to enjoy our moment and make sure each moment we are given, is better than the last.
Don’t put off your dreams. Don’t wait to share your feelings with the ones you love. Let go of your anger and fill your life with peace. Don’t blink for too long because you just might miss something.
I hope you appreciate the time you have and the people in your life because it can all change in a blink of an eye.
