Clear vision tribe

I had a thought the other day about people I cared about but ultimately I walked away from. Sometimes my brain revisits situations from my past and I analyze the replay… sort of a pre-post life review lol.

Anyway, I was thinking about the moments that ended the connections I had with people. What happens is, I realize that a person no longer aligns with the life I want for myself and I communicate to them that I am walking away and give my reasons.

For most of the people of my past, they reacted negatively or defensively as if I attacked their character. All I say is there are things I don’t agree with so I am going to give space between me and that thing.

For them, it is off putting to hear that someone doesn’t want to be in their life as if something is wrong with them. It’s never hate for the person. For example, I love cats but I’m extremely allergic. So, I am never around cats because the cat dander doesn’t align with me. Cats are beautiful creatures; they’re just not for me.

Everyone is allowed to do and live however they want. What I realize is that the people who react negatively or defensively to realigning my life don’t see me clearly. These people want me to put myself to the side and suffer through connections that are wrong for me. Normally not from malice, but a sense of outward acceptance.

When your focus is on receiving acceptance from others, you feel good when people connect with you. The ego wants to amass friendships, relationships, situationships, associates, etc. so that the self-worth is built. There are toxic connections that exist solely because walking away feels like a failure or rejection.

Self-worth shouldn’t be based off who likes you and is around you. When you build your self-worth from within, you open yourself up to finding your clear vision tribe.

A clear vision tribe are people who connect with you without the dependency of outward acceptance. If you choose to walk away from that connection. They understand that the connection has frayed and is no longer aligned. But the beauty of a clear vision tribe is that there is less walking away because the connection provides proper mutual growth.

If there are people in your life who reacts defensively or negatively to you doing what’s best for you, it’s a misalignment and you may need to walk away.

May you always walk and grow with your clear vision tribe!
