The final law from The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success by Deepak Chopra is the law of Dharma or the purpose of life. This law states that we are all spiritual beings in temporary physical bodies to fulfill a purpose.
There are three parts to the Law of Dharma. First, we are here to discover that we are spiritual beings here for a purpose – to find self-divinity. If you have discovered this already, congratulations! Congratulations if you haven’t discovered it yet. You are reading my blog, which probably means you are on the path of self-discovery.
Secondly, we are here to discover and share our talents and skills. We are all unique; therefore, our purpose is also uniquely defined for each of us. There are skills or talents that you have that no one else has. We are happiest when we are expressing those skills and talents. Thirdly, the law states that we are here to serve humanity through our unique skills and talents.
Experiencing the law of Dhama with these three components creates abundance in our lives. Abundance can be found when we ask ourselves questions like, “How can I help?” instead of “What’s in it for me?” When we realize these skills or talents and mix them with serving others, we’ll find life flows more smoothly.
The law of Dharma is connected to the law of karma because when we live life unselfishly, we are rewarded with the desires of our hearts (the law of giving and receiving). It is a compilation of all the laws if you think about it. We must realize who we are (Law of least effort) and that we are works in progress and will always be on the path of self-realization (law of intention and desire). Lessons that we thought we learned will show up unexpectedly so that we can continue to evolve(law of detachment). Our skills and talents will continue to grow until we reach limitlessness.
Ask yourself: “If money was no concern, would I still be doing what I am today?” This is a great way to begin your journey toward finding your unique talents and skills.
Good Luck on your self-discovery journey and the road to spiritual success!
