I have been learning so much on my spiritual journey and the concept of being part of a whole is really getting under my skin and transforming me for the better. As a member of the African diaspora, I am learning a lot about my African roots. There is an African saying, ‘Tuë Bulé’. It means ‘we are one’ and is the idea that all African people come from one source. With the discovery of the Mitochondrial Eve, this would also mean that all people come from one source.
Albert Einstein has been noted to have said:
A human being is a part of the whole called by us universe; a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts, and his feelings as something separate from the rest – a kind of optical delusion of consciousness.

This phenomenon makes me think about the conception of a human being. We begin when one cell (egg) comes together with another cell (sperm) to create the spark of conception called the zygote. As that zygote grows and multiply, the genetic coding instructs each new cell on its purpose and those new cells takes those instructions and work with other like cells to become what they are meant to be… the heart, kidney, skin, etc.
How could one zygote become a whole human being if the cells didn’t come together to become the organs and systems they were designed or instructed to become? There is a reason we are all unique. There is a reason we all have our own personalities, signature scents, experiences, etc. Just like each cell of our bodies, we are all uniquely qualified to have an individual experience so that when all the human experiences are combined, we become a whole unit.
The most beautiful part of this analogy is how humans associate and the commonalities that connects us. One of the most natural acts that humans perform is the act of categorization. Though the separation ideologies have tainted this natural function of humanity, there is still beauty there. Just like the cells that come together and become the central nervous system, we gravitate towards the people or souls that have similar energy signatures in what Einstein referred to as the universe.
Beautiful.
I accept myself and all other parts of the whole. Have a beautiful day fulfilling your role and purpose in this great universe!
