I recently reposted a post from my Facebook memories featuring a quote from John F. Kennedy.
“Let us not seek the Republican answer, or the Democratic answer, but the right answer. Let us not seek to fix the blame for the past. Let us accept our own responsibility for the future.”
This quote is especially true for today when there is so much division within our UNITED States of America. There is so much pain of the past and finger pointing that the masses are forgetting about the present and the future. Not many people are asking the hard questions or standing up for what they KNOW is right and look where it has gotten us. I am afraid of what could possibly come next if we don’t step up and use our voice.
No matter what you think, your voice matters! That is the great thing about living in a democracy– you vote and you can help change the course of our country’s path!
YOU GET OUT AND VOTE!!
It matters not who you vote for. It matters that you tell the world that your voice matters. Like President Kennedy said: You seek the truth!
Change starts with you… and you… and you… and you! –imagine me pointing to each and every person 😉
We can not let the pain of the past, muddy the present and dictate the future. We need to leave the world in a better place than we found it and voting is just one of the MANY ways that we can do that!
